From blank wall to backdrop: how one mural turned Hawker Buns into Bedford's Instagrammed café

June 24, 20261 min read

Before: Hawker Buns Singapore Burger Cafe wanted their space to feel like an extension of their menu — Singapore's most iconic skyline, paired with the comfort of their beloved Hainanese chicken rice.

So we installed a large-format wall mural of the city's waterfront, designed to turn one ordinary wall into the centerpiece of the room...

Now: Hawker Buns Singapore Burger Cafe now has a corner that looks like it was lifted straight from Singapore's waterfront — and customers haven't stopped taking photos of it since.

Here's what the owner posted, in their own words:

"A special thank you to @printsquare.ca for the stunning, Instaworthy wall installation; crafted with precision, creativity, care, and essential in bringing this vision to life."

The result speaks for itself: customers are now posting their own photos with the mural as the backdrop, turning every table near that wall into a small piece of marketing the cafe never has to run an ad for.

This is the same idea we talked about earlier — that customers photograph the spaces they eat in, and that's free exposure if the space gives them something worth photographing.

Hawker Buns didn't just decorate a wall. They built a reason for people to stop, take a photo, and tag the business before they've even finished their meal.

It's also worth noting: this isn't only a restaurant idea -decorative wall stickers can be for every business and even personal rooms!

If your space has a wall that's just... there, this is what it could become instead.
